The river is high right now (four feet higher than 2004), but will be coming down slightly by the weekend – hopefully stranding the debris on the banks.
Weather is looking awesome – 72/50 and 74/50; no rain.

According to the Nilsen Guide (how come I don’t see a Nilsen on this list?):

    CSH
    Jason Seather
    Mike Perman
    Kyle Bahl
    Daren Goehring
    Sean Byrne
    Kyle Lewis
    Mike Bartlett
    Kle Hannon
    Bill Blackwell
    Glen Wesanko

    20ss
    Jason Seather
    Mike Perman
    Sean Byrne
    Kyle Lewis
    Annie Thurman
    Mike Bartlett
    Kyle Hannon
    Cameron Hansing
    Glen Wesanko
    Koel Abell

    OSY 400
    Sean Byrne
    Kyle Lewis
    Tony Lombardo
    Glen Wesanko

Looks like some elims already! I heard tell of a couple of CMHs coming down looking for Bill Sterrett, and a big buzz on CSR. Daren, are you bringing the whole fleet? I also see that Left Coast Racing is in the house, with young Ms. Rucker, and the hardest working man in a race boat - Tony Lombardo. The diminuitive duo, Blackwell and Bartlett make their first appearance of the season, with their pet racers (is there an over/under on whether Cameron is taller than me yet?)

    We're coming down with 4 "A & X" classes, no more J!

Looks like we'll also going to stay for the "bon fire" this year. Is there a Hell Drinker award still? It's been a few years since I've spent the night in the pits, I heard that went away.

        Blackwell/Hansing - CSH, 20SSH, ASR

We will see who can drive on a river this weekend.

I got the 102 timed. Changed mag plates and points. We'll see if I got that ignition problem solved. Good spark on both cylinders.
Don't know if Cam is taller than you yet, but I can tell you that he has outgrown our poor little ASH. Still fits in the ASR though. He gets here tomorrow from Alaska.
Looking forward to seeing everyone and maybe some side by side racing with Glen from Canada.

Two from the Penway Racing featuring WayneCo Camp as well as an ASR and maybe an ASH

Daren??? Are you not man enough for the river in CSR??? lol. Should be a few more than normal. Drew, Kyle, J Michael i think, Jason, JW, Zach in NOB...I've heard rumblings of A Darell Sornsen apperance (does that mean a Ricky Montoya appearence? maybe?!). With you...we could see 7 or 8 CSR! I'm sure i'm missing a few as well...

It's flat turners vs. the roll ups! JW already has been talkin a little ish! lol.

CSH, CSR for me and a gleason racing driver in the DSH.

JW and Darrell can talk all the **** they want, it does not affect my decision on bringing the CSR........it has nothing to do with flat turners vs. roll ups........

Daren, we're happy to have you no matter what you run. Sterrett isn't running his stuff this weekend, if that helps with your planning. Peffley and another guy are still supposed to be bringing real CMHs (and I'm sure Team Bryne will be available for some uh, testing).

Speaking of running, Ryan Johnson will be running at the mouth as the announcer all weekend. That means race winner interviews and opportunities for guest color commentary.

The river will start coming down Thursday according to the forecast, but only a foot or two. I hope Thorsen bought some more rope - we'll probably need to drop 75 feet of anchor line with that depth and current. If you go dead in turn two, watch out for the falls down in Oregon City

Weather forecast is holding. 70's and sunny. Probably will be chilly in the morning, though.

No RESTRICTED MOD for Team Byrne this weekend .... as long as we have someone to tow our stuff down (I'm out of town) and we have drivers... Lewis and Nilsen in THE 69 AND 169 ... (Sean's RETIRED) we'll run some gear as long as the floaters aren't too large

                      HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

Won't be there, but have fun everybody!

Is there still a traditional "boat burning" on the bonfire? If so, I will send some 305 kindling (from the Bakersfield incident) via the Oregon Peeters Express....

From what I have heard, sounds like Ashley and Colin will be representing the Left Coast Racing Team....Tony Lombahdo (as they say in Boston) isn't going to make it. At least last I heard.............? Either way Left Coast Racing is in the house! Rick Bird and Tony are left behind, but as they say, we always leave the best behind!! Good luck to all from Left Coast Racing!
