Today at Coniston at the start of records week Julian Codling took the 0-250 world speed record with a staggering average speed on the 2 runs of 112.20 mph, (over 113 mph one way and 111 mph on the return run beating the old record by nearly 12mph.
Wayne Turner is rebuilding after taking water into the engine today and seizing.
Ted Walsh averaged 149.6 mph with his DAC Merc 2.5 litre rig and will try again for the elusive 150 mph average and Keith Whittle averaged 126 mph with the SL250 outfit.
