The race report we recieved from James optimistic.
He did not get a good time in the first open qualifying and the second session was cancelled. First heat he started in the back and then the boat stopped just off the jetty....the crew forgot to tighten the fuel cap. Second heat he started last..of 11 I think. Placed fifth, so the 5 spot was a better start in the third heat. During the third heat, the engine trimmed in and did'nt perform well. Overall tie for sixth.
The boat handled the rough water and the long right hand sweeper good, so all he needs in some mechanical good fortune." It's a sad day when you've outgrown everything"
