The first heat was priceless.

OSY400 outcome came down to the stopwatch. John Peeters and Amy Nydhal tied on points and by.18 seconds John won his 4th consecutive title , but not without a bit of good fortune. In his first heat he went upside down coming out of turn one , however the race had already been blackflagged because to many people had jumped the gun and the judges could not identify all the jumper so because of that he was able to get the boat to shore , get the motor cleaned out and was able to run the re-run of the first heat. In the final heat it looked lke Amy was going to win the title as John was in second and Amy in third place in the heat which by points would have put Amy in front but the heat was red flagged as someone got dumped out of the boat right in front of the judges stand. So heat 3 had to be re-runed and that heat had John finish first and Amy second to tie on points and it came down to time. Congrats to John on 4 straight!!
