350cc hydro

David Mitchell won 350cc hydro in his MJR boat and trying the new Rossi 350cc two cylinder. Mark Stahl was right behind him with his new Rossi two cylinder 350cc until a hole in the boat took him out.

Brandon Thirlby won all three heats of 250cc hydro with basically no contest.

The capsule hydro races were between Doug Hall and Sean McKean with their new Rossi's.

I think Tim Small won the 350cc runabout with his new Rossi two cylinder 350cc.

This was from memory and you all know how bad mine is, so if I got it wrong, my apoligies.

The weather conditions were miserable, and we lost our record course due to an ugly left hand turn of Tim Small's 250r, when it hit something, bent the prop, locked the engine in a mode which made Tim jump to the left, take out the entry and the second bouy in a five pin turn. Tim did a great job of keeping it right side up and as he got almost completly sideways and dug in pretty hard.

The loss of the record course did not take away from the competition of the Title Series drivers as many of the classes are still close with the Title Series High Point Championship still up for grabs.

We had a great turnout of boats and drivers for what could have been a great weekend. The racing was great and no one got wet, except for the fury of Mother Nature on Saturday late in the afternoon with a downpour.
We were partially rained out on Saturday and finished Saturday's program on Sunday morning and then ran two heats of everything for Sunday.

Our thanks to all who put up with some miserable conditions on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning and made this work. Shirley Summers, Bev Krier, Liz Thirllby, Ellen Weaver, and the Buskirk's and all who helped teardown, put it up, tear it down again, out thanks.

My thanks to Buddy and Jeanie Tennell and announcer in training SAM TENNELL, Pete Gryskiewicz, Tom Cronk, and Bill Tetro for the help in getting the PA booth.

I'll leave it to David Weaver to give you the race rundowns as to who ran really well, although I am not sure if he will give himself a shout out, but David ran as good as I have ever seen him run this weekend.
