Well, our first two USTS races for the 2007 season were successfully completed. We had our challenges, but every heat was run over two back-to-back weekends. We are very fortunate to work with some fine people in both Inverness and at Lake Wales.
It may take a while to get all the final results. Our cheif scorer is enjoying some deserved R&R in Florida. Thanks to Shirley Summers!!! Also, Bev and Cookie and the rest of the barge crew!!! You guys are fantastic. Bill Giles and Ed Thirlby performed the duties of referee and assistant referee very well and kept the order!!
Vertical Rehab (aka Robbie and Debra) provided a ton of enregy over the 2 weekends of racing. Thanks to them for providing so much support to the USTS. And Robbie was rewared with 2 outstanding weekends of capsule racing!!! The big boats put on quite a show!! HOw about Pat Wright and his new 700 Konny??? Man, I know he cannot wait to the next race!!
2 races in the books and plenty more to go. Honestly, the competition in every class is just outstanding this year. The Memorial Day race at DePue will be huge, simply huge.
I would like to thank the Ellison/Hellsten team for a lot of help over two weekends, plus the Thirlby/Buskirk/McCoy team. These are great folks and it is pleasure to race with them.
More later, ......what a great two weekends, worth every bit of the drives down.
