Do You like going to Omaha?

As you already know we had to cancel our Omaha race due to water conditions. Rollie Cape the park manager for Carter Lake/Levi Carter Park called us on Friday and asked if we could write letters stating why we liked coming to Omaha, etc.etc. There is a new city council member for Carter Lake Ia, that is spearheading a committe to get the lake in good condition. They need to be able to show support and lost revenues from us not being able to come this year. Rollie will take the letters to the committe. So if you could take just a few minutes and jot on a piece of paper if you like going to Omaha and why, let them know how much money you put into the local economy last year on gas/hotels and food(beer counts) purchases. (Just a rough idea. You can mail the letters to us, or hold them until the memorial day race and we will get them to the persons they need to go to. California, we need to hear from you too. I asked the same question not too long ago....I am told the hospitality of the town was fantastic but the water was iffy only got to race a couple times out all the times they raced there.

Love going to that race. Fantastic drivers course! Great for spectators as well. Can't get any more in the middle of the country. Weather is typically very mild for the midwest. Us Californian's can actually stand it (heh, heh). I will get a letter put together for you. Thanks for all the time and effort that the Krier's have put in to this event. I know it is one we definitely look forward to attending every year.

Don't forget the wonderful pavillion for the Drivers Party. It is one of the best places we get.

Can the Mod drivers send letters as well ? I love racing there, been there a couple times for the AOF Nat's. That pavilion is right nice for shelter. Lots of casinos in the area, something for everyone.
