      • After Gun fires - Green Flag
        • Enter Race Course to the Right
        • Stay inside Outer Buoys
        • Pass Turn Buoys on Driver's Left
        • Open Boats - Circle to Clean Out Engine Must Be Done in Infield
        • Capsule Boat - Stay Out of Infield until 1 Minute Gun
      • At 1 Minute Mark to Start - White Flag
        • All Classes except 250cc Hydro
          • Gun Fires
          • No Boats leaves Pit (if Engine is running, OK to Launch)
        • 250 cc Hydro ONLY
          • At 30 Second Mark to Start - Gun Fires
          • No Boats leaves Pit (if Engine is running, OK to Launch)
      • Approach To Start
        • Boat to round all Turn #2 Buoys
        • 500 ft to Start Line
          • Maintain a Straight Line and Parallel to Race Course
      • Start - Wave/Drop White Flag
        • Do Not cross Start Line before Zero
        • Raise Green Flag
      • Last Lap - White Flag
      • Finish - Checkered Flag
        • Heat Ends when 1st Legal Boat cross Finish Line
        • All other Boats must finish their current Lap - Return to the Pits
      • Overlap Rule
        • Lead Boat has RIGHT OF WAY until an Overlap
          • Overlap is when Two Boats are cockpit to cockpit
          • OVERTAKING BOAT Must leave a SAFE LANE
      • Bearing Away Rule
        • INSIDE BOAT Must Not Block PASSING OUTSIDE BOAT
      • Yellow/Blue Flag
        • Caution - Debris, Obstruction or Stall Boat on Course
      • Red Flag
        • Stop Racing and Return to Pits
        • Automatic Red Flag Condition
          • KPRO - Driver in Water
          • Capsule - Overturned
      • Buoys
        • Missed Turn Buoys - Return and Pass on your Left Side
        • Do Not Alter or Dislodge
        • $50.00 Fine for each Damaged Buoy
    • Driver In Water
      • 10 seconds to Signal OK
        • OK Signal - Clasps one Wrist with other Hand
        • OK in Error - Wave One Arm
    • Capsule Boat Stopped
      • Raise Canopy for OK Signal
    • Before the Race
      • Read The USTS Rules & Regulations, General Racing Rules, Safety Rules, and Tech Rules
      • Your Boat and Safety Equipment must be Inspected before TESTING
        • All Boats are Required to have a current year USTS Safety Sticker

    Bill: You put something explaining either here or on BRF explaining racing to the public. I am bringing my son who has been to only 1 race a stock one when he was 15 and didnt care years ago. We are coming to Depue and you explained very well what it was all about. Iam trying to find what you wrote and would like to give this to him so while we are driving 9 hours to Deue he can read and I can fill him in on any questions. This will be my last Depue and look forward to seeing everyone as this is the the final one. Regards John Lawrence

      John - Pretty sure Bill is in Constatine as USTS,is racing there today and then on to Depue.
