    Ike Yoder 400 300 700
    David Hooten 225 400 625
    Jim Wright 300 300
Ike Yoder, one of the finest individuals you will find at a race site, is leading the 500H’s this year over David Hooten and Jim Wright. David was absolutely dominating in the 500H race at PP as he just ran off and hid. If my memory is correct, that boat is about 20 years old, but it still halls the mail. It will be interesting to see if Doug Hall who had issues at PP is going to be on the prowl as we head further into the year with the GRM power, wrenched by his Father Rex.

    Andrew Thirlby 169 300 469
    Kurtis Nydahl 400 0 400
    Tim Small 400 400
When you have 12 of these monsters hitting the first turn at the same time, it literally takes your breath away. I can think of 2 or 3 more coming to Depue, so it ought to be great fun. The Brinkman trailer with JJ Walls at the wheel will be one of them in the 2 cylinder GRM. Kurtis Nydahl and Tim Small, running at the GRM 440CC two cylinder, ran away and hid at PP, but did not run it at LA, Kurtis Nydahl, driving one of the Thirlby Automotive entries took that one in LA. Unfortunately Kurtis unable to finish at PP now finds himself, just behind the speed merchant, Andrew Thirlby and a great run for the two races by RC Hawie, coming up to PP from Lake Hamilton, Fl. Cannot wait for Depue.

    Austin Vanover 400 400 800
    RC Hawie 300 225 525
    Andrew Thirlby 225 169 394
The craziness of 500R is now spilling over to the 700R class as well, as so far 8 drivers have picked up points and I know there will be at least 3 more for Depue. What can you say about Austin Van Over at the wheel of another Thirlby Automotive entry with Mike Thirlby at the wrenches for his son Andrew and Austin. Austin has won both races this year, with winning 100% of the heats run. RC Hawie having a good run here as well, along with Andrew, but both are going to have to go to the prop box to find the speed that Austin is showing. Fun to see Daniel Hooten now with us in the 700R as well, with he and Dad purchasing the Derek Gesler built runabout for a go at it.

    1100cc Hydro

    David Hooten 225 400 625
    Amy Nydahl 400 127 527
    Ike Yoder 300 95 395
David Hooten literally ran off and hid at PP with Amy Nydahl having won at LA and the venerable Ike Yoder in the 3rd spot. Don’t know where that speed has come from, but David won the first heat by a good margin with 7 other 1100’s in the field, good turnout and test for the big boys, and YOUNG WOMAN. Although Amy must have hurt that big motor in her heats and spent time on the beach in the 3rd heat. Hooten was showing pictures of the bottom of one of the sponson’s as he and another driver collided in the corner in one of the heats, but was able to soldier on.
