Hey Guys and Gals, the online registration is open and ready to make life easy for both you and for Sue, Denise and our crew. You can go online register, pay by CC or through Pay Pal and you are all set to go for the next two races for both Constantine and Depue.
Don't forget the bypass is now open around Constantine and if you are coming from the south, pay special attention as you come up the hwy after going through the stoplight at White Pigeon. You will go north a few miles and the sign for Constantine will be there and you will turn right and follow out through town to the race site.
Don't forget the Boy Scouts will be at the American Legion for parking and this is their fundraiser, so be kind and generous. If you miss them when you pull in, catch them later and let's help them out.
Last post we talked about Sean McKean winning a couple of titles and I neglected some longtime USTS stalwarts in the Ellison/Hellsten Clan as Kevin and Kristi Ellison, along with Chris Hellsten all took championships home last week at Kingston. A trailer full of happiness I am sure, Congrats.
In addition JJ Walls, currently driving the Prop Rider's V-99 125R and holding the lead in seasonal points, took home 3 of the KR/PR championships with his equipment in Kingston. This sets JJ up for a repeat of last year when he took 3 0f 4 USTS National Championships at Depue last year. I am sure that Duke Johnson, Jack Campbell and his son Jackie, Devin Huff, and the winner of the only one JJ did not win last year at Depue, David Everhardt. I still get chills thinking about David coming to the beach and listening to the greatest fans in the world at Depue, cheering, hooting, and hollering as he took off his helmet. In talking with David later, he wasn't sure of what all that noise was about, but as he came to realize he had won, the tears came and the other crews were thrilled, so thrilled in fact that they tossed him out of the boat and into the drink for the tradition of first win at a Nationals. Looking forward to seeing another upset anyone?
Don't forget Nick Thompson in your thoughts, prayers, and financial support if you can help for Nick. He has been in and out of the hospital lately and in need of 24 hour care right now, even when home, so if we all will help out, I am sure he and Denise would appreciate that.
Well enough of my rambling, hope all is well for everyone and look forward to seeing
you all in a week or so for the beginning of two intense weekends.
Ray
