  • News for the USTS Round 3 at Winona

As the summer heats up, so do the fights for the prestigious USTS season point championships as round 3 of the Title Series will take place next week in Winona. The weekend of June 27-29 will see action Lake Winona, one of the most beautiful settings in our season of all out racing. This weekend sets up the Title Series drivers for a hot and heavy 6 week racing run, from Winona, Mn. to Constantine, Mi, to Lake Depue for the USTS National Championships under the auspices of our great sponsor the Depue Men’s Club.

A great field of entries are expected in all classes after a really heartening showing of capsules at Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin over Memorial Day weekend. The second stop of the Title Series at Pleasant Prairie both tightened up some of our classes for the season championship as to have a couple of classes.
In 125H just 69 points separate Jake Quesse and Todd Andersen along with 3 other drivers for the top spot in this class Jake with 469 and Todd with 400 with the other three in between. In 250H just 26 points separate Amy Nydal the leader and Eric Schmidt in second place. Ike Yoder and Gary Buskirk are tied in points in the 350H class and that should be a real good battle the rest of the year. In 250/350R Tim Small finds himself in the usual position of leading the group so far after two battles, but expect Rich and Mike Krier, along with Brian Payn, Paulie Bosnich, Joe Franch, and JP Jedwabny to all be in the hunt at the end of the year. JP has looked very strong after a years layoff and great to have him back with us. Ray Hammond from Florida who has joined in the fray for the 175H points title after winning in Winter Haven, Fl. and then coming up to Pleasant Prairie over the Memorial Day weekend. Great to have him with us as we continue to see other new drivers joining up with the Title Series as he leads Todd Andersen by just 127 points.

We look forward to seeing all of you at Winona, should be a great race, we will have the local radio station KAGE once again at dockside broadcasting once again this year. See ya there!!!!!!!
