  • Bartlesville USTS Sunday

On Sunday, the clouds parted after some welcome rain, and a beautiful day of racing and family fun was had.
In the TOP HYDRO category, Amy Nydahl of Bristol, Wi won all three heats and was never really challenged. She won the 1000.00 to win championship at Green Country regatta in fine fashion. Ike Yoder finished second with Tim Borway of Manaca Pa. in the third spot.
Amy a college freshman at Ga. Southern had quite the year, having won two National Titles as well as adding the Top Hydro and now the 250 Hydro championship to her medal collection this weekend. She was flawless in the Euro design hydro with her Dad, one of the best at the mechanics spot. A great weekend for the Burkland crew of Hampton, Il. as he took second, with Ben Thompson of Ft. Pierce, Fl and David Weaver of Alpharetta, Ga. Tied for third.
In the 175hydro, Todd Anderson came back and was a double winner as well with Amy finishing second.
In the 350 runabout, say Tim Small of Lighthouse Pt. Fl, was very fast, that was what he was indeed this weekend as he won all two heats finish 2nd behind a very determined Jay Anderson of Northlake, Il but Tim went on to take the Green Country title. Not without a spirited battle with Brian Payn as well of Center Point, Ia. Very fast runabouts in this go round.

Our thanks to all the folks who worked very hard to put this together, Brent, and all of the safety personnel and those who supported us thank you, and hope to see you again next year.

Thanks to all of our volunteers on and off the water this weekend. Fred Mason, we found out how much you really do and from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you and hope that you are on the mend.

Thanks to Pete Nydahl and his family for all the work that you guys have done for us over the years, hauling the Title Series around the country, thank you!

    Great Weekend Of Racing

Hats off to all the USTS Teams that attended this race and many people that made the race happen. Without question, this was the shortest course that I have ever raced upon. White knuckles for four laps!! Thanks to Green Country for hosting us.

      Green Country

Yes the rain stopped, and it did make it green, unlike much of Oklahoma and the west which has seen very little rain. Thanks to Brent with a well origanized event. It was a short course, but here in Oklahoma, big water is trouble water. I enjoy seeing the Pros for they are that, Pros.
