Qualifying
How will lanes be determined for the first heat of OSY? Qualifying? I do know that the times we have run a dock start up here in Reg 10, boats in lanes 1 or 2 typically win the heat. I presume for the heats following the first heat, first place-#1 starting position, second place -#2 starting position, etc.
For qualifying, we could close down the morning test session an hour early and every boat gets one lap to post a time (like at Indy) - easy to time for the scorers and won't leave the starting position up to chance. Food for thought.
