  • USTS Winter Haven Review

Thank you to all of our sponsors for making the USTS Season Opener a huge success. Thanks MARVIN WINDOWS for your continued support of the USTS. Also RACE FOR THE KIDS FOUNDATION, OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE, FREDS COUNTRY KITCHEN, and all of the other contributors to the event. To all the drivers, what a show you all put on. Nearly 90 entries. Not bad for only 9 classes. Rob Erbel is on the mend after his nasty blowover in 250 hydro. Hope to see you at the races soon Rob. Go to our website in the near future for the COMPLETE rundown of the event plus all the latest news on stop number two in MENOMONIE WISCONSIN Memorial Day Weekend.

Tim, I echo your thanks to all who made the trip, to all the sponsors. It was good to hear of such a great turnout, and it all went to a most worthy cause. Hats off to Bill Hostler, Sue Sailer and all the gang for a job well done. Unfortunatoely I got all the information second hand, but look forward to playing a more active role in your evetns in the near future. Working toward being back in Florida soon, doing some free lance safety and OSHA training, anyone looking for anything along this line let me know, and who knows maybe a boat or two might roll out of the shop again. Great job everyone.

The first US Title Series race was a great event and thanks to all who make this happen. I was impressed with the turnout of boats for the race.

Several things I want to mention, Sean McKean's son Chase was eating cheese balls by the trailer. Seems he got the idea that they fit prefect into the exhaust pipe stingers. It was quite a surprise then they came flying out. Looked like a semi automatic paint ball gun shooting orange balls out the back.

Lorraine McKean got a test run in a 1100 Runabout with Dwight Malhoit for preperation for the Constintine race. Guess she will be riding with him as the test session went smooth. Lorraine said after the run "I want one, more fun than any roller coaster ride I have been on." See pictures.....
