        Week end before testing/racing

Not trying to hijack, just help. For anyone coming in the week end before, we will be having a super duper test/race session in Lake Placid on Lake Apthorpe. (Known to you probably as Cemetery Lake). Will be the AOF winter nationals, but plenty of time for testing along with throwing some things together to win an AOF winter championship. All classes allowed, but no diver present that we know of. (We might be able to make arrangements). If you have been here, you know this is a premier site. WE have FUN. I will be taking the safety boat to the USTS race about Tuesday, so no testing after that.
Here are the lake rules, per county and homeowners association:
        No one in orange grove
Camping arranged at Carls house across lake but not in pits
Open containers of alcohol prohibited by law
Off road vehicles for launching only
No running of motors before 10 am on weekdays, noon on Sunday
No running of motors after 5 pm Sat or 4 pm on Sunday (except on sanctioned racing)
Testing with signed release and manned pick up boats only (to cover costs of insurance and race/testing expenses)
Must be at least a $25 AOF member to participate and test
Pet Owners respnsible and follow county and commen sense rules
        Fishermen shown courtesy.
Locals love us, but we need to follow their rules. You will have a crowd watching.
A good place for rookies as there are always all kinds of know it alls here to help and talk about the good old days when they raced. lol
Come on over and have fun. Call me if you have questions. Carl Staron AOF executive Director 863-699-9701
