Does anyone out there have experience with repairing aluminum outboard crank case half with Dura Fix rods?
I have just repaired Erin Barth 175cc engine using this rod. The case cracked all around near the mounting surface and blew a hole about 1/2" in diameter in one of the transfer ports. The 175 was made from a blown-up 350cc Konig. The Dura Fix seems to attach to the aluminum very good. The repair is somewhat like brazing.
