  • A Sad Day

    hello everyone,
I just read an email from Pete G our president and our friend and referee Fred Schletty, died this morning from cancer. Pete did not know any details of the arrangements other than the funeral home which I do not have now, so I will post the info as it is available. Bev Krier

    A good man

I only knew Fred for a short period of time, but found him to be a real gentleman. He was an objective referee and I thought he did a fine job referring the USTS races. A man of character, he took ownership of mistakes and prevented those from happening again.

    I hope he resting peacefully.

          Rest In Peace

I became good friends with Fred over the last few years and shared many laughs with him. He was very serious about his referee position with the USTS and always made what he thought was the fair and right call. The thing I will miss the most about Fred will be his dry sense of humor. May he rest in Peace.

Augustine Racing sends heartfelt sympathy to the Schletty family. The judges' stand will miss his presence.
