    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Skies were cloudy, but many rays of sunshine as the Title Series started off with testing on Saturday morning, and as the day went on it became a beautiful day in Oklahoma.

The first class up, and the class of the field was in 500H, as Doug Hall took all 3 heats of racing, putting his stamp on it with the 3rd heat starting in about the 5th or 6th spot, but working his magic with the Rossi prepared by his Dad, Rex.

Sean Mckean tried to hold off Doug in that heat and had it until the back stretch of the final lap. Brianna Johnson strung together good finishes to find herself on the podium for the 2nd time this year.

That should give Sean the USTS hi point award in this class. Congrats!!!!

Next up was the 250R class as Tim Small and Paulie Bosnich traded heat wins in the first two. Paulie got a great start in the 2nd heat, had to go to the tape to make sure, and was able to hold off Tim through the heat.

In the 3rd and final heat, Paulie and Brian Payn pushing at the start for an advantage both jumped the gun, but Small won it on the water as well and finished with heat win over all. Rich Krier being the steady Eddie of this class found the podium for 3rd.

Should give Tim the USTS point title.

Next up were the 350H with the beautiful orange of Gary Buskirk found the winning circle in the 1st and 2nd heats. In the first heat Jeff Kugler was out front with about 3/4 of a lap to go when a shear pin left him sitting in the exit of the 1st turn on the last lap. Buzzy was right there and said, thank you very much!!!!! In the second heat Gary put everyone including Jeff in his roostertail.

Ben Thompson driving a very steady 3 heats was able to wrestle the 2nd spot in the class, but was 1st in class for what he did. In the 3rd heat as he and Jeff headed for the first turn, Jeff was called for bearing away as he and Ben headed to the first turn. Within a minute the call was reversed as Ben went to the referre and told him that both had hit a roller in the entry to the turn and it was not Jeff's fault. WAY TO GO BEN!!!!

    Ben Thompson
    Jeff Kugler

Jeff may have won the point title

Next up was the 125H with a real tight battle for the USTS Championship. So much so, that Kurt Nydahl and sister Amy changed rigs for this one, as Kurt was leading coming in.

In the 1st heat Kurt came up for the start and led the first lap and headed off to the 1st turn letting that hydro fly, and fly it did as he reached the 1st turn with a spectacular blowover. Two other boats had to dodge Kurt and the boat coming down and both missed him, however Amy had to turn right real hard and out over the side she went. Cannot believe the anguish that Pete must have felt to have them both in the water.

Kurt swam away from the boat and raised his hands to let us know he was alright. He did take a pretty good gash in his hand and was taken in by Pete for some attention, but was in good spirits.

The rerun allowed David Tenny who loaded up in the first heat and was running about 5th a chance to go to the pit and make it better. Better he did as with that Euro boat, he kicked it up a real knotch and won all 3 heats in fine fashion, pulling a Doug Hall, won all 3 heats, started in the back on the 3rd heat and went around them all.

    David Tenny
    Amy Nydahl
    Brian Palmquist

David won the USTS High Point

500R finished the day off with absolutely havoc in the 1st heat. Between those who could not finish and those that jumped the gun, Tim Small was the only legal boat on the water at the end, everyone else DNF'd or BG.

Tim driving a brand new GRM under the build of Rex Hall finished 1st in another heat and 3rd in the other for 1025 pointsand took his second win of the day here in Pryor. Jared Gryskiewicz finished in 2nd with 525, and Brian Payn finished third with one heat win of 400 points, YIKES what a donnybrook.

    Tim Small
    Jared G
    Brian Payn

Brian driving the Jim and Pat Wright entry wins the USTS High Points.

    Congrats to all three

More tomorrow or Monday when I can for Sunday's program
