2012 Nationals

In anticipation of the 2012 Nationals - it has been proposed that we participate in Carp Races prior to racing the Nationals.

Diane - A group of people did an asian carp roundup for a couple years before the nationals on Lake DePue in an attempt to cut down the number of them in the lake. That was until a young and cocky conservation police officer decided to stop by one time and preceed to write tickets for any violation he could find. Just a group of people having a bit of fun and trying it was ruined. I dont think it has been done since.

Joe, Derek, and Zach wanted to bring their (trap) shot guns to DePue and go "carp shooting" (trap shooting, but substituting carp for the clay pigeons) off the back of one of the john boats! Maybe next year!!!

I think we can start a new class! Will Joe, Derek, and Zach be in a 3-person flat bottom? Who's the deck rider?

How about mounting a Trimease from Red Jacket on the front of an 1100CCR ? Deck rider now has new responsibilites with the carp !

Just ensure that you have enough life jackets in your boat or the conservation officer will give you a ticket... Right Paulie?
