2011 Nationals

What can I say about the 2011 Pro Nationals that haven't already been said but to add my thanks.
We started putting stuff away at about 7am yesterday morning and we had the barge out of the water and put in storage by 3:30. We had a good group of people to help. You can't even tell something went on in the park.
Big thanks goes out to Ray, Todd, Sue and the crew on the barge for keeping everything moving so fast with the heat we had. Also thanks to the patrol boat drivers, Randyand Kalya, Dale and Debbie, and to Alex alias Elmer plus the St Bede Bass Club that also ran patrol boats for us.
Once again the talk in town is how did Ray get the results so fast and a was able to annouce them so quickly. I told everyone it was a secret.
Also everyone wants to know if were coming back next year.
Once again thanks Ray, Todd and Sue and her crew on the barge. You's are the best group to work with.

I forgot to thank Ben and Paulie for setting out the race course.

You forgot mention someone Paul. If the DePue Mens Club is the host sponser for the PRO Nationals , then you and your family is the host family. I can't tell you how many times the words , " go see Big Pal ' or " go ask Abby or Paulie are heard in the pits during the week. It has to be tough to try and race but yet open up your homes and garage to the race community and respond to all the requests. A big thank you , Ab and Paulie for all you do during the week!!!!!

Thank you Dale.. It is a great week and we wouldnt have it any other way. I know that we dont even think twice about opening our door. And to be honest, it is such a let down when the week is over. Knowing the nationals is another year away makes for one of the few reasons Im ready to go back to school...... Boat racing is truly our second family.

You wait all year and in 3 days it is over , how depressing , and when you are working them it seems even faster. By the way have you ever been driving down the road a few days after the races are over and get that methanol and castor smell just pop up , it happened to me today. Good Luck this year to you and Tiffany and the BV Storm volleyball program!!!!!

I also want to thank Dale for opening up his door to have items sent to him as he was home and not at Constatine. This really helped out!! The people of Depue and the Depue Mens Club are all National Winners as well.

Another reason to attend the PRO Nationals at DePue

If you have never been to a PRO Nationals in DePue , here is another reason to make the trip next year.
How about the 50\50 drawings on Saturday and Sunday!!!! Saturdays 50\50 was worth $1200 to the winner and if that sounds good , how about the $1500 50\50 pot on Sunday. Well worth the $3 dollar admission to come and put $10 into the pot!!!!!

If I am not mistaken Howard Anderson won a 50\50 pot a few years ago , did he not????

Beginning photography 101

The only negative aspect of working on the water all weekend is not being able to take pictures. The asian carp are bad enough that I don't want to take the risk of ruining a camera. So I turned my camera over to my 13 year old daughter and with a few pointers I think she got some pretty good shots!!!

If people only knew how much Big Pal , Abbie , and Paulie do during the year. They are always working to make the Nationals a complete week. I'm truly amazed . We are very blessed to have them working with the Mens Club. U guys are great friends and great people as well. Thanks for all u do!
