Speed Week 2011
Once again the Men's Club and Title Series are together again for the 27th consectives years.
Everybody in town have gone down the park and painted there names in there spots and we're 2weeks away.
The town of DePue is 150yrs old and there is some special thing going on during the week.
Queens pagent on Sat. night while were in Constantine.
Water fights and a bags tourney on Sunday.
Monday and Tuesday its quiet.
Tuesday I'll have fuel delivered to the park its going to be $200.00 a drum plus $20.00 deposit on the drum
On Wednesday we have a little change on test schedule its going to be from 12noon to 530pm. No firing of engines after 530. They are going to start the opening ceremony's, and once again the Big Band will play.
And Last Call will follow them.
Dunk testing will also go on that night. It is going to be at 7pm at the Spring Valley Pool, we will let you know over the PA were to meet at so you's can all go together and not get lost. There will be a fee also for it let you know during the day what its going to cost.
Drivers Party in the park also.
Saturday is a 5k run registration starts at 7am at the fire station and run or walk is at 8am. I've already signed up. HAHA
Sunday they are having a car show at the fire station also starting at 8am
Francis Latta will be selling the banquet tickets again this year and it will be at the Peru Eagles and we will have a shuttle bus running this year. So you's dont have to drive.
The Giant's Den will be serving there famous breakfast stop in and see Angie and tell her I sent you. They are going to have a buffet on Saturday and Sunday.
Casey's will be running alot of specials that week stop in and fuel up.

Park the race trailer nice at the lake and once again we are putting the 5th wheels up behind the beer gardens. If something is wrong I'll move it when I get home.
Just a reminder people with dogs don't walk them thru the park and using 4wheels keep them out of the park if you need to go down to the clock and get a time go slow down the street behing all the food stands.
I'm leaving for Constantine on Thursday morning so if you need something shipped let me know when it coming.
This years program is in honor of Frank Solorio and Todd Brinkman Sr. both of these gentlemen work hard from the begining getting this race a big success on Lake DePue They will be sadly missed.
Dale keep up the good work on the triva questions that neat to see all the guessing going on.
Make sure drivers you get pre registered with Sue that helps her and out greatly. She will be leaving on Tuesday for Constantine. So do it after you read this article. Also thank Sue and the ladies for all the hard work pllus the voice of the Pro Nationals Mr. Ray Rodda and the race director that keeps the show going Todd. Thanks to all of you's. Yous are the BEST.
As alway the town is BUZZING with race fever. The Men's Club and the Village are looking forward to everyone. Have a safe trip to Constantine and then to the BEST DAMM RACE COURSE AND THE BEST RACE TOWN YOU'S WILL EVER GO TO.
