An afternoon of testing followed by racing beginning at 5:30pm was had.
First up was Top Hydro with 10, count them 10 to hit the starting line. Included was Dwight Maloit and 9 others. This class started off with a bang as Jim Wright driving the N-7 dove hard into the first turn and the chine tripped and over he went. Jim was quick to see the surface of the water and all was good.
In the re-run, Doug Hall ran off and put everyone behind him. Jim Kirts never gave up and chased him to the end in second place, with Gary Buskirk third.
In the second heat, Jim Kirts had a great start and was leading everyone down the backstretch with Hall and Buskirk chasing him. Doug eventually went dead in the bottom turn and Buskirk moved into second and Jim Wright with help from Pat, cleaned it up and headed out for the 2nd heat and placed 3rd.
What a job from both Jim Kirts and Jim Wright. Congrats Jimmy, well done.

Amy Nydahl did a great job of starting the first heat and was never headed as she was really moving the new Euro hydro around the course in a hurry.
2nd went to BJ Tetro in that heat and 3rd went to Bruce Summers
Ben Thompson won the 2nd heat going away. He really had the boat he and Nick finished last winter going away from the field. Amy finished the second heat in the 2nd spot. Bruce 3rd again.
Third heat, Amy was lead up early and had to back way off to keep from jumping, and she did it perfectly and the engine did not load up to everyone's surprise. BJ Tetro got off to a great start along with Ben Thompson. Ben had to take evasive action and missed a bouy in the first turn, opening the door for Amy to finish 2nd and win over all. Congrats Amy.

K-Pro was a great "grudge" match with Vinnie Buskirk and Baylee Burkland. Vinnie won the first one going away, and in the second, Vinnie and Baylee came up for the start side by side and Baylee just barely jumped the gun and was a couple of boat lenths behind Vinnie at the finish
350R was a wild and wooly 3 race series.
Tim Small had the winning face on as he won the first two heats and took a second in the third as the head games were being played trying to bring him up early. Ever the wiley veteran, Tim started in the back of the field and only Mike Krier kept him from 3 heat wins. Tim knew exactly where he needed to finish and did so.
In the 2nd heat, Jared Gryskiewicz, Rich and Mike Krier were in a real duel for the second spot as they entered the bottom turn. Jared had just a little bit of a lead as they got toward the middle bouy, as the chine tripped on Jared's runabout and he blew over sideways. Rich had nowhere to go and ended up runnning headlong into the back of Jared's runapout peeling the left front of Rich's boat away, and blowing through the transom of Jared's boat.
At first we were worried that Jared had been run over, but fortunately both drivers were brought to the shoreline sitting up in the safety boat and all was well for both. PHEEEEEWWWWWW
Thanks to Pete G, our whole judges stand including Sue Sailer and her crew and of course the guy in my ear, okay Ray, let's get them going, or get the ???? class to the water. The best at running a show, Todd Brinkman and for all the work that Big Pal, Paul does race after race.
