  • Menomonie Sunday

After a wild and wooly finish because of the weather yesterday, today's tranquil 65 degrees was a welcome respite. Our thanks to Pete G(are you nuts, I can say it, cannot spell it. Give me some creditLOL). Thank you for securing this race, I think others will hear and want to be there next year. Our communications with 3M, Visit Eau Claire, and the Mayor of Menomonie were very positive and we all hope to make it a better event next year.

4 125r took to the water, but in the end, David Jones and Andrew Thirlby traded 1-2 finishes, with David jones taking it. Paulie Bosnich was the first to get wet as he dug the outside Chine and blew it over sideways, fortunately he was AOK.

6 175h hit the water with David Tennyson looking to take home a second title this weekend. Brad Greenslaugh wanted equally and became a first time winner, congrats Brad, well done. Ralph Donald finished third.

10 350r answered the call and as they say, the race was on. Jay Anderson has become a force to recon with and took home the first heat. Tim Small took home the next two for an overall first. Brian Payne finished third. Rich Krier dumped in the first heat, but came back and finished 2nd in the 3rd heat.
Congrats to Andy Kirts, first race for him.

6 250h headed to the water and when over, the old man of the sea took it all. Bruce Summers finished in the number one spot. Years ago Bruce said he would never race a boat with a number younger than he was. For years he raced V71 with great success. Sometime a bit ago it became V81. He told me this weekend next years number will be V119. Congrats to you Bruce. Amy Nydahl had trouble all weekend except the last two heats of 250 and won them both for second overall. Third went to Ben Thompson.

In Top Hydro Sean McKean finished with a second and a first to take it home. Rick Savor scored a second place finish in his first weekend with the Title Series, and Doug Hall finished third with a heat win and a DNS.

Thanks to our ref Fred and the whole group on the judges stand.

      Great Recap

      Ray:

Thanks a lot for your race reports the last couple of years.

Nothing better than being there to hear you, but this beats "nothing" by a long way.
