As they say, A beautiful day in the neighborhood, described the day here in Southern Wisconsin. Marvin Windows and Doors, no booing from the crowd, I have to get the plug in sponsored the Title Series race this weekend, feel like a Nascar guy getting all the sponsors in. Beautiful crystal blue skies, warm temps, low 80's, and a slight breeze gave us a picture perfect day.
Forty four entries were had for the 6 classes run today in realtive safety as we only had one incident with Josh Burton being tossed out of his 350H in turn one chasing down the leader from the 4th spot. He was un-injured, but checked out by the EMT's and released.
Still found the gremlins to be in full force as we did at Ocoee earlier this spring between gun jumping and engine problems. Our many thanks to Pete Nydahl for all the work on this race and for hosting a party on Saturday night for the Title Series.
In 250R Paulie Bosnich III had an absolutely perfect start and took home the heat win over Tim Small in an excting first heat.
In the second heat Tim Small jumped the gun and Paulie finished second in that heat to Rich Krier.
At the start of the 3rd heat Paulie had 700 points. Rich Krier had 400 points and Tim had 300. As Paulie entered the first turn, the bite was on, as he "turned the crank," you might say. Tim went on to win the heat and tied Paulie on points. By 11 seconds Tim took the Pleasant Prarie title to tie Paulie now for the lead in U.S.T.S point chase.

Next class up was all Jeff Kugler with 3 heat wins and a perfect 1200 points. Great job of driving as Jeff knew the boys would try to play a head game in the third heat, but Jeff would have none of it, as he started in about 5th or
6th place to ensure a good clean start, but before the heat was over, the yellow V-101 was out front. Mark Stahl was possesed and finished a great couple of heats for 2nd over all.

Who says us ole farts have nothing to show???? Pete Voss went out and put the hurt on the entire field in the first heat, winning by a wide margin over the likes of Thirlby, Gryskiewicz, and Kirts. Tom Kirts Jr. did a whale of job with the Steve Littzel entry this weekend and was great to see that St. Anne flag boat flying down the straightaway.
Brad Burkland was back in 500r with a boat that still bears the scars of the incident a few years back at Depue. Brad, Pete Voss and others involved in a really scary start of a 500r heat at the Nationals, welcome back to the water Brad.
Jared Grskiewicz was battling the carburation in each heat and finished off the pace after blistering the record and scoring the win at Ocoee.
The ever present Mike Thirlby looks like he was able to sort out the issues with his 500 this weekend and it showed as Mike with 2 1st places, and a 2nd wins over all.

K Pro Hydro Wendy Eldredge,Wendy Eldredge, Wendy Eldredge, what more can you say as she took 3 straight heat wins with great driving as she and Kurt Nydahl really mixed it up in all three heats. They came through the bottom corner side by side most of the way around in the 3 heat, with Wendy finally pulling a little bit of a lead at the finish. Congrats Wendy, great job.
Baylee Burkland a rookie, daughter of fore mentioned Brad Burkland finished on the podium with third place. I hope she was as thrilled as I was in presenting the 3rd place medal to her MOM, Where were you BAYLEE????

We started with 13 125H with split heats. When the dust had settled after heat one, David Jones and BJ Tetro, 2009 National Champ had each won a heat. Ralph Donald had a major engine failure and was unable to run the 2nd or 3rd heats. So, we put all the kids together in the pool and sent them out to play.
The engine gremlins were in full force for the second heat as BJ found himself sitting this one out on the front straight and was unable to finish. Amy Nydahl who had finished 2nd in the 1st heat went on to win the pivotal 2nd heat and helped her to the title. She ended up with two 2nd's and a first for 1000 points. BJ won both heats he was able to finish and will be all about defending the title at Depue. David Jones had one heat in which he was closing the gap on the leaders when the engine loaded and he had to work through that, but was able to finish and made it to the podium.

We started with 5 capules and ended up with 1 running at the end of the second heat. Sean Mc Kean did something to his motor on entry into the first heat, Brandon Thirlby did it himself in the second heat, as well as Doug Hall, so at the end the one man standing, the irrepressable, wait for it, IKE YODER!!!!! Fantastic job Ike.
Brandon won the first heat handily, but came off the course at the end of lap one and could not answer the bell for the third heat, as did Doug Hall. Thus the 3rd heat was cancelled.
