I see that the Raleigh race is no longer on the schedule. Has this race been dropped?

The city of Raleigh has decided to use Lake Wheeler as a source of water and therefore all use of the lake requires a permit. Since there are no parameters yet for permits, USTS is unable to apply for a permit at this date. Therefore, there will not be a USTS race in Raleigh for the 2010 season. We will try again in 2011, as this site is a great place to race. I am disappointed, but "you can't fight city hall"
