Well Bob- You did not beat me in age with your birthday, but, you beat me with your by pass as I only had a triple. Do your therapy as directed and you will be back to normal. I had mine back in '95 and still going strong. The beer drinking will return in time.

Great News

While I just met Bob recently, I have known of him for many years.

If it keeps him in the boat racing world, beer is easy to give up. Sucks in a bad way, but maybe he can do wine now ! I hear that is good for the heart. Boones Farm and Mad Dog 20/20 is as cheap as beer is !

Hi Bob,
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.. Now you have to remember that when you eat, if it tastes good spit it out, if it tastes like straw or hey your okay to swallow it. Down the road a ways you'll be able to have a beer. Everything now in moderation. We'll see during the racing season. Good luck rehabing.

Hi everyone, thank you all so much for the prayers and concerns. All these responces on HR ment a lot to me. More than I can ever say in words. I had a wake up call, a little scary but so thankfull everything worked out. Something about timing is everything. The Doctors had me sitting up that afternoon after the opperation and had me take a few steps. Was walking by Wednesday and I was released today and now home. Can't lift anything over 10 lb. and can not drive for a while. My biggest dissapointment is I was looking to get to Seattle and cheer Sean on with the HOC award. I know Lorraine wanted me there. Have my plane ticket and everything. It would have been so nice to see all my West Coast Friends again. When things like this happen it make you realize how important all the boat racers are. It is a close family and will always hold this thought deeply with in my (HEART)......Bob N-96

Hi Bob Glad to hear your on the mend. i see in your post that you are not alowed to lift over ten pounds. Did you ask the doctors how you were suposed to pee? Steve See ya soon
