I have to put my two cents in for this one if I'm not mistaking I bought the beer for the trip to Dayton and yes Weaver your 12 pack was sent and plus Big Rick's Green Bay Packers case went in there also.
Only thing so far that Tim did was carry it down there and we probably will get a bill for gas getting it there.
Plus Sue we had a hard time drinking with out Marty, Nic, Brad, David, and Ben plus you lovely ladies weren't there also to drink with us.
Bet you at the world's it will be different.
        1 more and I go.

          on the move

Today they actually got him out of bed. He moved around a little in the room. He was in put in a wheelchair for awhile. It was suggested he may want to take more pain meds before doing this, but he actually declined. They gave him some small exercises he could do while laying in bed. He also is doing breathing exercises to work on his respiratory issues. He is now eating some solid food as well. I pointed out pizza was on the menu, but he thought that might be pushing it. He went with the chicken sandwich instead. I also brought him a get well care package, which included his favorite beverage (nope not Bud Select, but Sundrop!) His internal organs/system also seem to be working as they should. There were also a few more visitors today. This took alot out of him by this evening and he spent alot of time resting. A highlight tonight was him being read the printout of this thread when he woke up. A smile graced his face as he was read all of these posts. The support is definitely appreciated and is truly helping. Tomorrow also poses another positive anticipation for him. Rumor has it he best buddy will be paying him a visit. I hope he'll be wearing his brace because I guarantee there will be some good stories/jokes told and refraining from laughing will be impossible.

                        better every day

This weekend has seen even more positives for Marty. He's getting out of bed a few times a day and now is even walking a little. Today he did stairs for the first time. He even did a little without the assistance of a walker. No mention of an exact discharge date yet, but they were talking they are hoping he will be able to go directly home from the hospital, rather than an inpatient rehab facility. He would have to have in-home services, however. Apparently, the plan is for him to continue walking with a walker, then go to a cane, and finally on his own if all goes as planned. Today he even did some tailgating too and had a brat and Sun Drop. He's had a few more phone calls from some good friends and boat racing buddies. This all adds to his positive attitude and will to recover. The staff at the hospital has been great throughout as well.
