I've tried this with the first turn markers, only to find out that the race committee frowns on it.

balloon poping, not to be confused with bouy poping, both may be fun but one will cost you
What I want to know is who the nuts are that are willing to stand up in a racing kneel down boat at race speeds to pop the balloons!

How about this, instead of poping balloons maybe the deck riders should carry fish nets and catch the jumping carp.

New Class, New Rules

Rules for The New "Harpoon Class",

1. 250cc Runabouts. No Deck rider allowed.
2. Remove a ALL fins; side fins, bottom fins, etc.
3. Attach Harpoon to front of boat using any method, (duck tape preferred).
4. Full Throttle and Pipe Pulled at ALL times.
5. First boat back to the beach with a minimum of (3) THREE buoys or ballons
attached to the harpoon WINS.

Automatic induction into the Hall of Champions and World Champion.
