Thanks for your thoughts on Mom

                  Dear all,
I would like to say thanks to all of you who have called and expressed concern over my Mother’s health. Five of Mom’s seven children surrounded her bedside as she slipped through the veil into the eternities. She is not lost to us but for a moment, but choose to think with joy of those who awaited her arrival into the Spirit world. My Father passed away in 1948 and I smile as I write this to think of that great reunion that they are now having.

She passed Friday night at about 9:30pm at St Margret’s Hospital in Spring Valley, Illinois. She had been struggling for the last six months with in and out of the hospital stays, and I must tell you that I am grateful that the Lord took her home and stopped the suffering. She was a great lady and I will miss her, but look forward to the day that we will be re-united again, and with my Father at her side to greet me.

She fought a gallant fight against Breast Cancer and had 5 years after her diagnosis of this dreaded disease. I ask that each of you encourage your wives, sisters, and friends to check themselves each month to get an early jump on this and save your families.

I thank each of you for your concern and care in behalf of me and our family. Thank you!

                  Ray

I believe that I sent you all the photos of you and your Mom from DePue this year, but I thought it would be nice to share one with all of your racing family.
