Good luck. This is a black art with secrets held close. However for the basics try Jim russels site for tunnel boats. He has a book on propellors and software that would provide some good info. Here is the link and note the book "Secrets of propellor design" and the software package just below that.
Thanks for the additional links. The one for RC models is interesting for basics but scale effects to our hulls would be dubious perhaps. The mercury marine site for props is the same info on the Jim russel site I provided. The final is test-test-test and $-$-$ to get to the near optimum.
BTW when I ran 25ssh in the 1970's my best prop was a Pinner made extra thin with high strength steel that Harry was usin. The best performance with lots of testing was with a sanded blade surface with 320 wet paper in a radial direction. The boat was a stormer with Hi-Point Region 5. The sanding reduced drag in the same fashion golf ball dimples reduce drag and allow farther ball travel. A similiar effect is obtained with wet sanding the last 12"-18" portion of the flat hull bottom - high gloss is not always faster around the course. The details of the effect are rather tech but if you are interested I can provide some direction to read up on.
Good luck
