  • Racing Outboards Gearcase Question

Does anyone know, FOR SURE, if the new gearcases from Racing Outboards have the impeller sealed/glued on the shaft?

Just got one from Ron and wanted to know if I had to glue on the impeller before running it.

    Thanks Mike

Since you bought it from him, why not call him up and ask him. Sort of obvious, right?

Ya, very obvious, if I knew his cell or home number and I could reach him today, then I wouldn't have posted this. I need to have this done before Monday, hopefully.

So do you know? Or know his cell number. Yours seemed like a pointless response

Actually, the owner purchased it from Ron, and he's on vacation right now. It was sent to Rick, who's working on it, and he's the one that asked me if the impeller was sealed to the shaft.

Ed Runne assembles them so it shpuld be ready to go when you get it. I have two of them and just stuck them on the motors and ran them The first one I have had for two years now and never had a problem with it just keep the grease full and change it once in awhile. The other one I just got a couple weeks ago and put it under a new motor and ran it to break both in , tested a few props then loaned it to Val to race at Ocoee she won both heats of AXSH with it.
