I have recently purchased a spare 102 fuel tank with the intention of modifying to extend running time duration. Where should I cut it ( ie remove the seam ? ) and what is a standard width band to add normally ? What grade of aluminum ?Also I'm about to start testing my C-stock hydro with Yamato 102. What kind of time should I expect out of the stock tank when testing ?I don't want to suffer a long paddle ! Thank's Glen

The largest course I run is Lake Lawrence, which is a 5 mile course. The stock tank doesn't quite make it if you take milling into consideration. I had my tank expanded by 1.5 in. and no problem with a course this size. The tank was separated at the seam and just had a 1.5" spacer added in. I'm sure someone will chime in to let you know who does that in your area. Good luckSean Byrne
