There are several bolt paterns on Merc 500 s , make sure your block matches the tower. Typically use a stock pan to make up a spacer for the powerhead to tower, use studs of the correct lenght. If you trim the pan properly you can mount your steering bar to the stock holes in the pan, and make a brace to tie the mounting bolts to the tower studs. Throttle linkage can be of the stock Mark 55 type, to control the mag and carbs. there are several ways to exit water from the powerhead, Harry Brinkmans book is a good place to get tested info. good luck.
