  • Building a boat

I'm planning on building a boat for my grandson this winter and I pretty much know what dimensions I'm using. I don't know transom height (see dwg). Can someone give me a guideline for the height of the transom 90 degrees from the bottom of the boat for an OMC J/A/K motor. Thanks, Tim Chance

Hi, Tim - for the OMC foot, the propshaft to transom clamp height is 17.5", but also remember that the propshaft has to be 1 3/8 inch below the bottom of boat.
