  • 102 Spark plugs

Is the NKG 10 (R8102A-10) the only 18 mm plug for the 102's. I am just asking because I know nothing about this engine yet and that is what came with it. I found them at www.sparkplugs.com and they were like 10 bucks apiece. Is this the going rate for them?

    Thanks,
    Mark

    Yes

or you can get a plug adaptor and run 14mm plug or buy a new head 14 mm which is what I think is best then you can run the b10egv plug much better result

Then I will just stay with the 18mm plugs. The motor I have is a strong one and I am not changing a thing.

Thanks for the reply Mr. Hooten

Mark, you can get the 18 MM plugs ( NGK R8102A-10 ) at Auto Parts Warehouse in California. I order them on the computor at "www.apwonline.com". Click on "NGK plugs" then type in "R8102A-10" in the search block and the plug should come up. $8.07 each. Usually takes about 3 or 4 days.

Early 302's came with an ngk R8108-95. I have tried to locate them retail but only found the ngk R8102A-10. I did manage to get two boxes of the R8108-95 from guy that I bought my first 302 from. He worked for Chrysler and had them pouched in from Japan. George Scott 110C

Ryan - you may also want to try Mike Ward who is the European agent for Yamato. http://www.yamato.ndo.co.uk/

If you look on his Special Offers page, he mentions that 14mm heads are available http://www.yamato.ndo.co.uk/Special%20Offers.html

Ryan - using today's Tourist Exchange rates, 1 USD = 0.57 GBP, so £30 equates to about $53
