Sorry, it's not for a battery ignition racing enging, it's for a VW bus. I know the principal, I just would like to know where to go and get a good buzzer that wont crap out.
Thanks.

under the dash of your truck or car(not the wifes) better than PO ing the wife lol. I have found that the buzzers for assorted auto stuff hold up well to both using them and the abuse it seems to take when im not actually using it. besides i got mine from the local salvage all it cost was the time to take it out of the car
go to a decent hardware store and buy a 6 volt lantern battery and a doorbell buzzer. A shop your size ought to have some wire and alligator clips laying around. Should have less than $10 in it and they work great. I thought I outgrew the need for such devices but my kid likes the ancient Yamatos so I had to get a new one last year.
RS is where I got a piezoelectric buzzer for a "buzzbox." Also got a small plastic case, 9v battery clip, small gator clips, and a red LED which I wired in the circuit for those *noisy* pit moments. Piezo buzzers are small and durable.
$32.99 + shipping! Build one, Eric, way cheaper and more fun! You get to burn your fingertips on the soldering iron, melt a hole in your jeans when a blob of solder gets loose - yeah, way more fun!
