  • Sudden loss of spark both cylinders Yamato 102

Just timed a 102 and had it fired up and running briefly (not connected to a kill switch), and intentionally killed it by starving air. Went to fire it up again right away and found it had lost spark on BOTH plugs confirmed by several visual tests with three people watching for spark. Tried new plugs and still no joy (no spark). What could cause that to happen to both ignition wires simultaneously?

Something is grounding out. Check the leads that go between the kill switch pig tail and the points. Could also be a bad kill switch.
My 102 will spark when not plugged into the kill switch. That would isolate the kill switch being bad. Good luck.

Thanks - I'm going to go in and check all the leads. We isolated (removed) the kill switch wires altogether and still had the same issue, so it's got to be somewhere else.
