I read somewhere where you can't run the 321 engine at the same height that you can run in C stock. Does this mean that the water pickup is different. Or the engines are just too tight. When the 302 engines first came over here you couldn't run them at the same height that you could run a 102 at. After you stuck the engine 3 or 4 times. And honed them out.They would loosen up enough so you could run them at the same height.What I'm getting at is if they won't run at the same height as CSH then the only class you can run them in is 300ss. If you can run them at 7/8 then I guess that would be close. However if they have to run at over 1 inch deep. Then they will never compete in CSH. Just asking.

Tim, you were fed a full shovel of ****. Runs exactly the same as a 302. I've already tested with level to the bottom; has more to do with your prop shape, foot shape and tuck than anything. See you in a couple weekends.-

Jeff, assuming the World is Flat (all other variables stay the same), generally speaking but not exclusively, the pumping capabilities of any Yamato decreases as the tuck of the motor increases. Raising or lowering the motor is a bit more obvious (assuming the world is flat) - if you raise the motor too high, you lose pumping capabilities. See, clear as mud.

Okay I must have been misinformed. I just thought if you had to run them real deep that they would never be able to run in CSH. Once again thanks to this forum now I know.Comment

John, Even though I have always suspected the world is flat, especially here in the south, I am still having trouble with your directions, so if you could just send me your best prop with exact tuck instructions, I am willing to give it a go!
