I want to use the thermostat cover to block off water to the tuner pipe. What method, material is used to accomplish this.I know you block off the smaller portion of the cover, with what?

The finally approved preferred method to block the water to the tuner pipe is done via blocking the 'pee hole' at the powerhead gasket. While it is still legal to block it at the thermostat housing the motor will get proper cooling to the powerhead if plugged at the base powerhead gasket. Call George Stillwill for the proper way to do it. George and I along with several other folks lobbied the J Committee for a long time to get it approved to plug the motor at the base gasket. Plugging it at the thermostat housing will cause excessive heating to the block and eventually cause distorting and other heat related issues......just saying.

Thanks Matt,I was not aware that plugging at the cover would create over heat problems. I will pursue the other method you advised.
