Can anyone give the National part number for the top crank seal for the OMC 22 CI 25/400MOD
I know the OMC #305987, would like a direct source number

Just go to a bearing house and talk to someone that is smart, not a ditz that only knows apps or numbers. Give the smart person a shaft size (like 25 mm or what ever) then give the OD like( 52 mm) and then the thickness of seal. Seals are nat made by motor manufactures they buy them from a known source. This includes inch type seals as well. Steve

Mike , you don't even need to put your pants on or get off the couch; just Google. Enter the type of bearing and the size d x D x w and the Google Gods will do all the thinking for you.

I just tried it: entered ball bearing 1 x 2 inches and got los of listings for 6205's.

You can find a Sierra 18-2018 that says its a replacement number for 305987. Sold by pirates apparently, $14 but $40 shipping. Try 252277, its probably the same.

John, I love your savvy & sense of humor about the initial question! I also miss seeing you at regattas on both sides of the St. Lawrence.
