3.2 L merc 300XS tech question

Need an "educated" opinion. Will a ECM (computer) for a 300XS, run, work, take throttle, etc? On a 3.0L 250? This is a 2006 model (give or take a year)

It should "work" provided the base part number of the box is the same. However, I wouldn't run it on the 250 for any length of time other than for troubleshooting a non related issue. The calibration will be different, and you never know what the end result could be.
