I have a 1988 25xs, it is on a 9'6'' hydroplane. Not being a racer, I'm not familiar with a lot of the terminology. I was having trouble getting the boat to plane out, hit some waves, and when the prop bit, it tore a gear in the lower unit. I beleive my prop is from a 44xs, as it has a sleeve. Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as getting the lower unit rebuilt? I apparently could also use some advice on getting this boat to plane a little faster. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.....Russ
