I have never done this before, how much can be removed?
What do you do leading and trialing edges?

I would HIGHLY suggest this job be done by a professional, such as Tommy Johnston or Tom Cronk, which have done all of mine. It is a reasonable charge and you can guarantee it is correct and will pass inspection every time. I would hate to see someone get booted from inspection for an illegal gearcase.........

There is a template that is used to measure the thickness of the fin in four specfic areas. I would contact the APBA to find out where you can obtain an aproved template. If you go to thin in the wrong spot the foot is history.
