I'm kind'a new, but should know better than posting here on this link, so before I duck and cover ...

Is the Merc AXS a new motor from Mercury?

    What's wrong with Yamatos?

As for both of the D's, some one feel free to sponsor me!

Neil I know everyone in apba is very excited about this motor. Keep in mind we hear all the stuff and see pictures of it and have yet to see one on the east coast here. In Michigan we probably have the most D runabout drivers in the US as we have a group that like to run marathons. We have had as many as 15 run at once at Top o Michigan. I know a few of these guys would step up for sure. Alot of them are going into the inflatables as a alternitive and these rigs cost way more than your motor. As far as obsticles the SORC needs to have data on this motor as it is going to be put up against another motor. If its not made equal to the 44xs then everyone who races a d class rig will feel like it was unfair. It will hurt the sales of one motor manufacturer and probably destroy the class all together. We know how much time you have spent and the troubles you have endured to this point. As long as Jeff is willing to help the cause then let it be. I still cant wait to see one in person and running. I am a past D class national champion and think it might get me back into the class.(here that Vickey Smith) Anyway just wanted to give a positive post for people to read. Mike

        Geezus Criminy Man !

We got one guy who offered his purchased Tohatsu for testing...
Another guy offering his 44xs for side by side testing...
And another guy's company who said...
At this point nothing is warranted but there is no real concern. Bass machines will not leave Jeff out in the rain.
To me this is self explanatory, I see three men who are willing to go the extra mile to satisfy SORC in order to get a motor approved.. I'd say when it's all done and over we should buys these guys a few beers for their efforts.....no?
Nuff said, it's their money, time and dedication ! Okay, now settle down

We are all chipping in for this cause.
          1. The Bass's have spent a lot of time and money on the project.
          2. I have volunteered my motor for APBA testing for the SORC.
          3. Don't forget, Mike Weinandt is donating his valuable time and services to test this motor for the SORC.
          4. Mark Wheeler is volunteered his engine for the side by side dyno comparison.

We all believe in this project.

BTW... Kip, I prefer ice cold Miller lite. But any free beer is good.

stupid comments.. So, the APBA has till November 2005 to decide on a motor that is non existent this racing season. Who planned that?
            2% own 90%, that's the ownership society

              I give Up

I give up. This isn't rocket science you know. None of us are sponsored we are all Back Yard Boat Racers. You people are treating this like it is a multi billion dollar operation.

Best of luck to all parties. Personally, I trust the data obtained by racing the motor all last year and was posted on this website.

              P.S. - No wonder I run Mod.
