Wouldn't it suit APBA well to have dynos to check the "new" stock division ? Find out what the motors are making, and hold them to a HP figure. This would negate any "devolopment" of the Hotrods and Bass/Import and the 44xs in the stock division.
Maybe a series of test wheels and good strobe tach would suit.
If you really want to even the playing field and hold development of the Brand New Stock Outboard Racing Motors, APBA and the Stock Commission should be all over this issue. Yet, everything is a wait and see attitude.

I have a question.. Is the New HotRod the same castings as the old hotrod?
Is it basically the same motor? thanks

In visiting with Ron Selewach last fall about the reintroduction of the Hot Rod, he told me some known stress points in the crankcase (and maybe elsewhere) area would be strengthened.
