Wet or dry filler block on a 44 merc?

Why is wet better? Most classes want to keep the pipe hot why not on the 44?

Do you have a picture of your crazy water setup?

Wet. O'Brien's exhaust is a good setup. Brinkman's method for Quincy and Bayer exhaust also works well but requires more work. I've never had a Parker exhaust system, don't know anything about it.

OMC FE/SE powerhead parts for sale. Kurcz ported block, Mod 50 pistons and cylinder head, exhaust, etc.

Keeps filler block from expanding too much and the exh. side distorting from too much heat.

        Filler blocks

What Art said. It is to keep things where they are at, not cool the exhaust.
