  • Thread of water plug??

Anyone know what the thread size and pitch is of the water jacket plug in the bottom, back of the tower? I went to the local hardware/pluming store, couldn't find anything close in SAE or metric.

It is. M12, but 1.50 & 1.25 pitch isn't right. Has me stumped.

          Thread

Is the thread the same as a 14 mm spark plug ?

Forget the metric thread, just tap it out for a common pipe thread so ordinary hardware can be used for plugs and fittings when needed.

              You are right. 14mm X 1.25 pitch.
Think I found a new way to clean my sparkies. Little carb cleaner and thread it in. Looks kinda cool with a plug sticking out of there.

              Thanks

Done!! I will take a pic tomorrow. You think it will be a speed or safety rule infraction. Sorry, had to say it.

                            Hi Mark
Where you put the spark plug in is the exhaust pressure release. Not for hooking up garden hose to run engine. I hope you knew that.

Yikes!! Just saw that there and assumed. At work now. I see from my pic that is in the mid unit, not the power head. The 102 doesn't have the exhaust release, does it?? I don't see the water plug in the pic. Where is it on the 302?

Gonna have to on cross the rookie in my sig.
