  • Light Stearing wheel

I didn't get squat on my last 2 posts. I'm sure due to all the 'rules' discussion. Much better banter than helping a new racer out.

Anyway, where can I find a lightweight steering wheel? 11'

        Hyper Racing

Last i knew we used to build the 11 inc steering wheels for the micro sprints and sold them to Hyper Racing in PA and since we stopped making them last i heard he had a place in PA making them.

          Thanks guys.
I do have the one listed on Portage Bay, 3#. Looking to save a pound. It was that, or quit drinking beer, so carbon fiber here I come!
          Thanks

I still haven't had any luck. The smallest I have found on Hyper Racing and the Kart sites is 13".

Not sure about the weight savings but this is in both of my hydros.

There are also other places to get it other than Summit.

I saw those George, think they are 13". I will have to remeasure the cockpit by the wheel, but I think it is tight with the 11".

Let me know what you find out Steve.

                        Thanks

Go to your local Kart shop or find one online. The kart ones are half the weight of the ones you see in most every boat in the pits. TS racing is where we get ours from.

Found one. Old 2.9#, new 1.2#. 2" larger diamiter, but still plenty of room on the right side. Left, not so much.

I have an old Nydhal, and it weighs 4.7 pounds with the hub......

Hummmm.. Maybe I need to think about a lighter wheel...
