    anything allowable?

    Pipes. Yes. A nice tuned exhaust system like our C Mod drivers use. And get rid of the clubfoot and switch to a racing foot and then you can actually steer the boat!

        I want too increase yamato 302 power:
        I want to keep intertal exhaust, externals are not possibly for lakes too noisy.
        Polishing channels?, cc'ing power head for more compressions?, timing adjust?, bigger carb?, power reeds? Is there any other tricks? I dont race, so no rules

        What would you do to increase power if theres no rules at all?

        Cheers,

          Is the tuning/modding 302 tabú or don't you just not want to share tricks?

              NA rules do not permit mods to the powerhead of the stock 102/302,
              even in the modified class, other than the pipe and lower unit.
              Cheapest and easiest route to more HP is to raise the CR by milling the head, how far depending on the octane of the fuel you will run;
              ie; AV100, race gas, E85, or methanol.
              They say the pipe alone is good for 4mph on a 60mph rig,
              methanol and raising the CR should get you 10% HP+,
              and with a pipe, a bigger carb may be useful.
              Anything else is going to take time and $$ for little gain.
