  • Trim Indicator 45 sst

I have a 45 sst rig that I came into (Brother's wife made him get rid of it... wont she be surprised). It was never completed and one the short comings is there is no way to tell what the trim is when running.

Somewhere (forget where) I show a niffy home made Trim Indciator. Does any photos, diagrams or tips on how to make one?

    Trim Indicator

    Jimi,

I also put this on Boat Racing Facts.

A trim indicator is basically a bowden cable attached to the towerhousing that runs to the dash board. When the motor is trimmed in and out the cable on the dash board will indicate the trim. Put a mark on the dash board at the full in and full out position and a mark with the prop shaft level with the bottom. You could attach a pointer if you need to.

E-mail Ron Hill on the Boat Racing Facts web-site and he should be able to fix you up.

    Good Luck.
